Healthier gums
We remove the build-up that causes bleeding and gum disease.
General & preventive
No matter how well you brush, hardened plaque (tartar) builds up over time in spots a toothbrush simply can't reach: along the gumline and between the teeth. A professional clean removes it, lifts surface staining from coffee, tea and smoking, and leaves your mouth feeling properly fresh. More importantly, it keeps your gums healthy, which is the foundation everything else in your mouth depends on.
Why Supertooth
We remove the build-up that causes bleeding and gum disease.
Surface staining lifts away and your teeth feel clean.
Thorough, but we keep you comfortable throughout.
Everyone benefits, but a professional clean is especially worth it if your gums bleed when you brush, if you smoke or drink a lot of coffee, tea or red wine, or if it's simply been a while. If you've been told you have early gum disease (gingivitis), regular cleans are the single most effective way to turn it around. And if you're heading into whitening, veneers or any cosmetic work, we'll usually start with a clean so we're working on a healthy, fresh base.
Healthy gums aren't just about avoiding bad breath or bleeding. The gums and bone are what hold your teeth in place, and once gum disease takes hold it's the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. Keeping on top of cleaning is genuinely one of the simplest, most cost-effective ways to protect your teeth for the long haul, and there's growing evidence that gum health is linked to your general health too.
Most people do well with a clean every six months, but if you're prone to build-up or managing gum disease we might suggest every three to four months for a while. We'll recommend a rhythm that suits your mouth and let you know if we can space them out.
