Composite is strong, but it lives a harder life than porcelain. It can pick up staining a little faster than natural enamel, so go easy on heavy coffee, tea, red wine and smoking, especially in the first couple of days, and keep up regular cleans, which also let us re-polish the surface so it keeps its lustre. Treat the edges kindly, and save your front teeth from bottle tops, ice cubes and stubborn packaging.

How long they last depends a lot on those habits. Many people get around five years or more from composite veneers before they want a refresh, and here's the quiet advantage: when a corner does chip or dull, it's usually a quick, affordable repair rather than a full replacement.
