Mouthguards & night guards

A custom-fitted guard protects your teeth better than an off-the-shelf one, whether it's shielding them on the sports field or from the grinding and clenching so many of us do at night without realising. Because it's moulded to your exact bite, it fits snugly, stays put, feels comfortable, and actually does its job.

Why Supertooth

Two kinds, both custom-made

Sports mouthguards

Cushion teeth, lips and jaw from knocks in rugby, league, hockey, boxing and other contact sport. Adults and kids.

Night guards

A slim guard worn at night to protect teeth from grinding and clenching, and to ease the jaw pain and headaches that come with it.

Who needs a sports mouthguard

Anyone playing a contact or collision sport, and that very much includes children and teens. A knock to the mouth can chip or knock out a tooth in an instant, and the cost and hassle of fixing that dwarfs the cost of a guard. A custom guard is worlds apart from a boil-and-bite one: it's the right thickness in the right places, doesn't fall out mid-game, and doesn't make it hard to breathe or talk. We can even do it in your club colours.

Signs you might grind at night

Plenty of people grind or clench in their sleep and have no idea until the damage shows up. Tell-tale signs include waking with a sore or tight jaw, headaches around the temples, teeth that are looking worn flat or chipped, increased sensitivity, or a partner who hears the grinding. Stress and concentration are common triggers.

A night guard won't stop the grinding itself, but it takes the load off your teeth and jaw so the wear, cracking and morning headaches ease off, protecting teeth (and any crowns or veneers) from a slow, expensive kind of damage.

Common questions

Questions, answered

You can, but they're bulky, fit loosely and protect less. A custom guard is well worth it.

If they play contact sport, yes. And we can do fun colours to make it easy.

Rinse after use, brush it gently, store it in its case. We'll show you.

Sports guards get replaced as kids grow or with heavy use; night guards last a good while with care.
