Dentures

Dentures are a good fit if you're missing several teeth or a full arch, and they're often the most budget-friendly way to get a complete smile back. A partial denture clips neatly around your remaining natural teeth to fill the gaps, while a full denture replaces a whole upper or lower arch. Some people choose dentures as a comfortable, straightforward solution in their own right; others use them as a step while they consider implants later. If you've got an older set that's gone loose or uncomfortable, we also do repairs and relines to get them fitting well again.

Beyond the obvious, a complete smile, dentures restore your ability to eat a proper range of food and to speak clearly, and they support your lips and cheeks so your face keeps its natural shape rather than looking sunken where teeth are missing. They're removable, so they're easy to keep clean, and a well-made modern set is designed to look genuinely natural. We take the time to get the shade, shape and fit right, because a denture that looks and feels good is one you'll actually wear and enjoy.

A new denture is made over a series of short visits: impressions and measurements, a try-in to check the look and bite, then the fit, usually spread across a few weeks. If any teeth need removing first, we'll factor in healing time and map the sequence for you. Small adjustments in the early days are completely normal and expected.

New dentures feel bulky at first. That's completely normal and settles within a couple of weeks. Start with soft kai cut small, chew slowly on both sides, and practise talking out loud at home (reading aloud helps). A sore spot or two early on is expected; don't push through it, just pop back and we'll ease the fit. Take them out at night, give them a clean, and let your gums rest.
